International Quiz for Medical Undergraduates (IQMU)
After an insightful trip for a medical quiz in Mexico, the students of KMC sought to create a competition facilitating academic and cultural exchange in Manipal. Thus, the International Quiz For Medical Undergraduates was conceived and has been running successfully since 2017.
Owing to the current global pandemic, the 5th edition of IQMU took place from 29th May to 6th June 2021 via an online platform to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our participants. The quiz consisted of multiple rounds that test the quizzer's knowledge and application capacity in the fields of Pre-clinical, Paraclinical, and Clinical subjects. Each round was unique in its format, ranging from Spotters and Clinical Vignettes, MCQs and jeopardy-styled rounds, to IQMU'S acclaimed Mental relay. This year we also introduced a new event under IQMU, The Back-to-Basics Quiz, covering only the pre-clinical and para-clinical subjects which instantly became the crowd favorite
Amid grueling competition, driven by the medical instincts of our quizzers, we ensured that a healthy camaraderie was built via our Virtual Gala Night, involving unique activities, and fun games!
IQMU thus gives students an opportunity to experience a quest comprising of extensive events, nail-biting quiz rounds, interactive ice breakers, and informative workshop sessions by KMC's very own student clubs.
