Overview
Fashion Design has evolved beyond Experimenting and Making apparel into a multidimensional approach of management. Masters of Arts (Fashion Management) is designed with an aim of evolving a design entrepreneur with a focus on creativity for commercial gain. The program deals with understanding and interpreting the fashion systems towards effective management of the creative sector that balances artistic ambitions and creative goals.

ASSESSMENT
- Two sessional exams and one final exam for each subject in a semester
- Written exam (for theory subjects).
- Formative and summative assessment (for practical design-oriented subjects).
- The student performance in each theory subject is evaluated out of a maximum of 100 marks - of which 50 marks are for in-semester assessment, and 50 marks for the end-semester examination.
- The in-semester assessment in theory subjects is based on sessional tests, assignments, quizzes, case presentations, seminars, etc.
- In-semester evaluation for practical subjects is done by the panel of studio teachers on the works done for the in-semester coursework.
- The end-semester evaluation for studio subjects in interior design includes a viva-voce and practical tests evaluation, conducted by an internal examiner and an external examiner.
- The evaluation of In-semester coursework in the Thesis will be done by the panel of guides on the works done during the semester.
- The End-semester viva-voce evaluation will be done by a jury consisting of two internal examiners and two external examiners.
The program as an amalgamation of management principles oriented towards fashion business including luxury fashion segments helps a student balance creativity with management. The program is carefully drafted to meet the requirement of students of non-design background and design background.
