Overview

Significant social, economic, and environmental changes are causing a growing demand for high-performance and sustainable buildings. Due to advancements in science and technology, such buildings are ever more diverse in function and shape as well as more energy-efficient and responsive to occupants' needs. Students in the graduate program Master of Design in Sustainable Design (M.Des. S.D.) learn how to apply scientific methods and state-of-the-art technologies in order to address the multi-faceted challenges posed by high- performance and sustainable buildings.

 

This program aims to build the capacity of the building professionals towards exceeding the performance-based requirements of building design and operation to reduce their environmental impact while increasing their economic profitability. It also aims to enhance their computational, evidence-based, and collaborative integrated design skills to produce the next generation of building professionals who can target the optimum sustainable building design solution.

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s degree in the field of Architecture/ Interior Design / Planning/ Engineering (Civil / Electrical / Mechanical/ Computer Science) or equivalent from a recognized University with minimum 50 % aggregate marks. 

Weightage will be given to GATE qualified applicants.

2 years (4 semesters)
