Established in 1963, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS) offers DPharm. , BPharm. , MPharm. , PharmD. , PharmD. , Post Baccalaureate and Ph.D programmes. The hospital pharmacy manufacturing unit and pharmacies of the Kasturba Hospital provide practical training to students. Practical training in manufacturing pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, perfumes and cosmetics museum and a medicinal garden is provided to the students. A bioavailability study centre and placement cell are some of the other facilities offered by the institution.


Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences has research labs for pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical marketing and administration, pharmacology, pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical quality assurance and pharmaceutical biotechnology. In the last 40 years, more than 1000 research papers have been published and presented at various national and international conferences. The college has received research grants from CSIR, DST, ICMR, UGC, AICTE, DBT, DAE and pharmaceutical industries.
