The Department of Statistics was established on 1st August 2006, to serve the statistical needs in education and enhance research activities at the University. It was the first independent teaching department under the University. It offers a Master’s programme in Biostatistics, certificate course in Biostatistics, Epidemiology & Research Methodology and doctoral programmes. It also offers various postgraduate and undergraduate teaching programmes related to Statistics, Epidemiology and research methodology, to several health science courses and has collaborative projects with national and international agencies.
