CME conducted by Dept. of Physiology

Department of   Physiology, KMC Mangalore, conducted a CME on Headache titled with  “HEADING AWAY FROM HEADACHE” on 6th December 2015 at   Kasturba Medical College Bejai Mangalore.   Dr. H.S Ballal; Pro chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education was the chief guest.  Dr. Surendra Shetty Pro-Vice-chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education-Mangalore Campus was the Guest of honor.  Dr. Venkatraya Prabhu, Dean Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore delivered the presidential address.  Dr. Ramesh Bhat, Professor of  Physiology, welcomed the gathering.   Dr. Bhagyalakshmi K  ,Prof &  HOD Physiology,  proposed the vote of thanks. Distinguished speakers of the CME were Dr. Ramdas Nayak, Professor of Pathology, Yenepoya Medical College , Dr. Chakrapani M, Associate Dean and Professor of Medicine, KMC- Mangaluru .  Dr. Nina Mahale, Associate Professor of OBG, KMC,  Mangaluru. Dr. Keshav Pai, Professor and Head, Department of Psychiatry KMC, Mangaluru  Dr, Sumana Kamath, Professor and HOD, Department of Ophthalmology, KMC, Mangaluru and Yogaratna Sri Gopalakrishna Delampady, Rtd Senior Health Inspector, Mangaluru. All the speakers enriched the delegates about the Pathophysiology, Gynecological, Psychological, ENT  and Ophthalmic  aspects of headache. Further, the  delegates were also enriched with knowledge of  different types of Yoga and  Mudras in the control of headache.  The audience interacted and had  in-depth discussions with the speakers. Over 200 delegates from different Medical Colleges and General Practitioners  attended the CME. This CME has been awarded with Two credit hours by Karnataka Medical Council.
