Manipal School of Information Sciences (MSIS) formerly known as Manipal Center for Information Sciences (MCIS) and later School of Information Sciences (SOIS) was set up in the year 1998. Since its inception, the institute has been continuously striving for excellence in education, training, and research with a mission of offering “Value-Based Education”.

MSIS is an industry-oriented state-of-the-art postgraduate and research engineering institute in the areas of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Embedded Systems, and VLSI Design.

MSIS has an active academic and research collaborations with many well-known top-ranked foreign partner universities / Institutions. Study Abroad Programs (SAP) enable our students to carry out a part of their academics in one of our international partner universities.

MSIS has always been very proactive in collaborating with reputed industries for live projects, guest lectures, leadership talks, workshops, collaborative research, in addition to internships and placement offers for our students. All our ME programs are Industry collaborated to boost innovation and research. MSIS has tie-ups with industries across the spectrum.

On an average, over 50+ companies, including Fortune 500 companies visit us for PG internship recruitment every year.
