The Department of Anaesthesiology provides anaesthesia services to all surgical specialties at Manipal-TATA Medical College, Jamshedpur, including general surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, otolaryngology, maxillofacial surgery, paediatric, plastic, neuro, and cardiac surgery. Anaesthesia is provided at approximately 25 different locations every day, with about 2,000 anaesthesia procedures performed each month. Alongside its theatre work, the department oversees a 13-bedded ICU and runs a pain clinic catering to acute and chronic pain relief.
