Department of Hospital Administration

KMC , Manipal
Health Sciences

The Department of Hospital Administration at KMC Manipal was the first among private medical colleges in India to offer a National Medical Commission (NMC)-recognised MD in Hospital Administration, introduced in 1987. Its postgraduates go on to lead hospitals across the country and abroad as CEOs, COOs, CSOs, CIOs, and Medical Superintendents. The department trains doctors into doctor-administrators, equipped in consultant management, business development, revenue generation, cost containment, and working effectively in resource-constrained settings, with quality management a particular strength and specialisation of its faculty.
