MCH Summer School

Reimagine classroom spaces through applied learning and enjoy a taste of college life in a charming campus town. You will participate in a range of activities that are designed to give the best exposure to a future in the humanities and social sciences in the company of peers from the best of schools across the country.

We believe the best learning happens when we have time and space to think for ourselves. The Summer School has been designed to offer a guided and facilitated education drawing from select academic disciplines via select activities. By the end of the one-week program, the students will participate in various activities, within and beyond the classroom. Apart from this, the students will also benefit from individual mentoring, and will be able to hone their learning and writing skills in their focused areas of interest.

Interested students from any discipline in their XI or XII grade are eligble to apply.

The building is accessible by a ramp and includes a 150-seater auditorium, a Humanities library, the Hebbar Gallery and Art Centre, Lecture Halls and the MCH Pavillion.

    By Air

Mangalore International Airport is the closest airport to Manipal. It is a 65 km drive through scenic coastal landscape and takes about 1.15 mins.

Cabs are available at the airport and participants have to arrange for their own transport to Manipal.

    By Rail

Udupi Railway Station is the closest railway station to Manipal. The distance of 3 kms from the station to the hostel can be done by cab or autorickshaw in about 10-15 minutes.

We would recommend the pre-paid autorickshaw service that is located just outside the station.

    By Road

National Highway 66 is close to Manipal and National Highway 169A runs through it. Manipal is well-connected by road to several cities in neighbouring states. Students regularly take the many overnight buses that ply between Bangalore and Manipal.

Manipal experiences peak summer in the months of April-May. Please bring comfortable clothing, walking shoes, and hats/umbrellas.
