Overview

Certificate in Fashion Design is a one-year program aimed at imparting theoretical and practical training for aspiring designers who want to start their career in fashion design. This program introduces the students to the art of communicating the design ideas on paper which is then translated into constructed garments.

Assessment

  • Two sessional exams and one final exam for each subject in a semester.
  • Written exam (for theory subjects)
  • Formative and Summative assessment (for practical design-oriented subjects).
  • The students will be assessed continuously through their coursework assignments, seminars, tests, quizzes, case studies, and end-semester examinations.
  • The continuous assessment components are for 50% (internal test, assignments, and project work) and end-semester examination marks are for 50%.
  • In the FDIT (Semester – II), participants are also assessed by their final design collection.
