Manipal International Dental Summer Training (MIDST)

Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal, formerly known as the College of Dental Surgery, was established in 1965, as the first self-financing institution under private sector in India. Over the last 50 years, it has grown to be one of the finest centers for higher learning, acclaimed internationally for its excellence in dental education as well as health care with students from 35 countries and more than 4500 alumni. The Manipal College of Dental Sciences is an ISO-certified institution (ISO 9001:2008 and 14001:2004) and is considered as one of the premier institutes of Manipal Academy of Higher Education. It has repeatedly been ranked as the best dental school in India by various surveys.

The school has been successfully hosting the summer school since 2016 which have been widely appreciated by the participants. The school shall be hosting the fifth edition of the Manipal International Dental Summer Training (MIDST) from July 31st to August 15th of 2020. This program is aimed at providing international dental students a glimpse into dentistry as practiced in India.

Participants will be exposed to various facets of the profession including volunteering at outreach camps, interactive lectures in advanced clinical dental procedures and hands on demonstrations. In addition to the educational experience, the participants will also be introduced to the rich cultural heritage of the region through guided programs.

Through this platform, MCODS Manipal aims to reach out to interested dental institutions who would like to send their students for this unique event and build a lasting professional relationship.

Note for the 2020 program

 

-Fees: 550 USD (includes accommodation for program duration with breakfast, lunch and dinner at the International Hostel, airport transfer, and local cultural tours)

-Visa: An invitation letter will be provided only to selected candidates which can be used to procure a visa. However they are responsible to arrange for their own visa.


-Registration & Payment: Selected candidates will be notified of their selection within one month of their application submission. Only selected candidates shall be provided with an online payment gateway.

-Last date for accepting the applicationsJune 1st 2020 [Applications submitted after this date will only be considered depending on available slots]

-Who can apply: Students studying dentistry in a college/school outside India in final year/internship and fresh graduates.
