Leaching and carbonation investigation of LD slag from different steel industries in Eastern India

16th Nov, 2018 Environmental Science & Engineering Sasmita Chand
As steel LD slag is dumped on the surface or utilized to some extent for land development, this research was to study the leaching of constituent elements and the mineral carbonation through aqueous carbonation experiments for CO2 sequestration of calcium-containing LD slag.

Studies on development of a modified fly ash based zeolite for treatment of waste water

30th May, 2012 Environmental Science & Engineering Sasmita Chand
The properties, utilization and comparison of supernatant quality from conventional and modified fly ash based zeolite as an adsorbent were studied. The product was synthesized by the technique of conventional and microwave (synthesis based on microwave irradiation) exhibited the better results, and used for wastewater treatment, easy to synthesize and can be scaled up to commercial level.

Biochemical and Fluorescence Kinetics of Rhizophora Apiculata BL at Different Salinity Gradients

25th June, 2010 Environmental Science & Engineering Sasmita Chand
The effect of environmental stress, salinity on biochemical composition (total soluble protein and carbohydrate) to seek the photosynthetic performance (total chlorophyll content and chlorofluorescence parameter) on a true mangrove Rhizophora apiculata.
