Dr Animesh Jain awarded scholarship for Ethics Conference

Dr Animesh Jain, Associate Professor of Community Medicine at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore was awarded a scholarship by the organizers of Advancing Ethical Research 2012, held at San Diego, USA from December 4 to 6, 2012. He also attended the pre-conference workshop on “Regulatory, Ethical and Technical Challenges in Internet Research.” He was one among the 69 to be awarded the scholarship.

The scholarship provided for his registration for pre-conference workshop, conference and accommodation. Manipal Academy of Higher Education supported him in travel to attend the conference. He presented a poster titled “Early exposure to ethical conduct of research amongst medical undergraduates: Experience from an Indian medical college.” His presentation was appreciated and well received by the audience. There were a total of 2269 delegates and Dr Jain was among the five Indian delegates at the conference.
