Guest lecture on “Ectatic Disorders of the Cornea”
The Department of Ophthalmology, Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore hosted a guest lecture on 27 April 2018 at Sushrutha Hall, KMC Hospital, Attavar, Mangalore. The guest speaker was an alumnus of KMC, Mangalore – Dr. Bela Kamboj, Associate Medical Director & Consultant, Cornea, Cataract & Refraction services, Prakash Netra Kendra, Lucknow, a renowned cornea specialist and anterior segment surgeon based in Lucknow. She also gave insight into how to interpret corneal topography as well as various treatment modalities for keratoconus and about the current trends in the management of keratoconus. It was attended by our staff and postgraduates and practicing consultants from other institutions, Overall the guest lecture was an eye opener into the various complicated concepts of corneal topography and keratoconus.
