Continuing Professional Development program "Being a better professional"
A continuing professional development program, “SPECTRUM ’14 – Being a better professional” was organised by the Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal, on 24th October, 2014.

Dr Vidya Saraswathi, Professor & Head, Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, welcomed the gathering. Dr Ullas Kamath, Dean, Melaka Manipal Medical College, Manipal Campus, Manipal Academy of Higher Education was the Chief Guest for the inaugural function.
The one day program included three sessions of lecture by eminent speakers in their respective field of expertise. First lecture, ‘Changing trends & Dentistry’ was by Dr Harish Shetty, Senior Professor & Head, Dept. of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Yenapoya Dental College, Mangalore.
The next session, Effective communication & Behavioural considerations in Patient management was dealt by Dr. Marina Fernandes, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Goa Dental College Goa.
An insight into the basic aspects of material research, ‘Methodologies for characterisation of Dental Materials’ was presented in the last session by Dr Kishore Ginjupalli, Selection Grade Lecturer, Department of Dental Materials, Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal.
Dr Shashirashmi, Professor, thanked everyone for participating and contribution to the success of the program. The program was well attended and appreciated by the 120 registered delegates.
