Mr. Manoj Katiyar, Head of Corporate Quality and Compliance, Lupin Limited delivered a guest lecture on “Data Integrity issues in Pharmaceutical Industry: A nightmare troubling the industry” at MCOPS for the benefit of faculty, research scholars and PG students. Mr Katiyar  gave insights into the data integrity issues faced by the industry, false beliefs regarding data integrity, data integrity from regulatory perspective. He explained the importance of data integrity in quality, safety, and efficacy of the product. He also shared few cases studies regarding the implication of data integrity issues. He discussed about the risk management approaches and proactive approaches pharma companies follow to handle data integrity issues. He concluded the session with a take home message “Always have courage to admit your mistakes”. The guest lecture was organized by Department of Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, MCOPS and was well received by the audience.
