Republic Day 2023

Manipal Academy of Higher Education celebrated the 74th Republic day of India on 26 January 2023 at KMC Greens. Manipal Institute of Virology hosted the event. Students of Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences took part in the celebration. 21 student contingents and 1 contingent leader took part in the republic day parade. The Sports Council was in charge of the selections of MCOPS students to represent in the 74th Republic Day March Past for the Annual Parade at KMC greens. They practiced with 25 students for almost a week before the event to ensure that the march past goes smoothly. On the day, the selected students assembled on time at KMC greens, they wore their uniforms with pride, marched in unison with extreme discipline, and gave glory to our college.
At 8.45 AM students of all constituent Institutions of MAHE assembled at KMC Greens. Master of ceremony Dr Piya Paul Mudgal, Assistant professor MIV, Manipal navigated the event. Dr Chiranjay Mukhopadhya, Dean MIV, Manipal delivered the welcome address. Dr H S Ballal, Pro-Chancellor, MAHE, Manipal hoisted the National Flag which was followed by National Anthem. Republic day Parade by all the student contingents commenced at 9.10 AM. Dr. Narayan Sabhahit Pro Vice Chancellor, MAHE, delivered the message, followed by a vote of thanks by Dr. Anitha J, Assistant Professor, MIV. All the Heads of the Institutions, HODs, faculties, students, and parents assembled in large numbers. Finally, the results of the republic day parade were announced and the awards and participation certificates were distributed. The event concluded with the distribution of sweets.
