Research Policy

At Manipal Centre for Humanities (MCH), faculty are constantly motivated to publish with leading peer-reviewed journals and publishers. Faculty at MCH, have published in renowned journals such as The Journal of Commonwealth Literature; South Asia: Journal of South Asian Studies; Indian Journal of Medical Ethics, Economic and Political Weekly, Asian Bioethics Review, Contributions to Indian Sociology; Journal of Cross-Cultural Gerontology; The Indian Economic and Social History Review. Additionally, faculty have also published monographs and edited books with publishing houses such as Rutledge; Oxford University Press; Springer; and Bloomsbury. Apart from publishing faculty are also encouraged to organize international and national events and engage with eminent scholars in their discipline. Faculty adopt a multidisciplinary lens and align their publications with Indian policies and the global Sustainable Development Goals. 

MCH believes in nurturing quality scholarship and consequently, faculty are encouraged to pursue their research as per the requirements of their discipline and expertise. In addition to faculty research, in line with the National Education Policy, research is also linked to pedagogy at all levels from undergraduate to PhD.
