The students of Manipal celebrated a healthy break from academics, courtesy of the event ‘Sunburn Campus’ presented by RedX. The MIT Grounds were ablaze with light and music, as globally-recognized artists Zaeden and Teri Miko took stage. Zaeden is best known for his work in Tomorrowland and has been featured on ‘Hardwell on Air’. Sharing the stage with him was Teri Miko, a Ukrainian DJ who can be seen in some of the most exclusive clubs in India.
Students of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, along with KMC Mangalore, NITK, and several other students from universities in Bangalore, Noida, and Chennai were present to relish the moment. The ground was filled up in minutes for a show that lasted four hours. Spectators, buzzing with excitement from start to finish, had nothing but positive reviews to offer.
This concert went beyond a rush of adrenaline. Driven by the urge to give back to our society, RedX organized the show to donate all of its earnings from the event towards Girl Child empowerment. The three thousand people turnout ensured a healthy contribution to the cause.
“We will use all the money raised to help children. We plan to digitalize schools by adding projectors, computers, and other necessary instruments like microscopes. As of now, we are donating benches and chairs to schools named Sarlabettu and Sagrinole” said Akhhiila Reddy, Vice Chairperson of the Club.
