Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) (formerly known as Manipal University) accepts applications from thousands of students for the Under Graduate (UG), Post Graduate (PG), Super Speciality (SS) and Doctoral (PhD) programs.


MAHE has a centralised admission process for all the programs offered through its constituent institute / department and the entire process is handled by the Admissions office


The Admissions Office publicises the various programs offered by the University, accepts and scrutinises the applications. All students are enrolled based on the merit secured in the entrance test / qualifying examination.


Indian Admissions

Admissions under the General category are handled by the Indian Admissions Office.


Foreign / NRI Admissions

Admissions under the Foreign / NRI category are handled by the International Admissions Office, also facilitating foreign students to obtain

  1. Student Visa from various Indian Embassy / Consulates abroad 
  2. No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the respective Ministries of Government of India (GOI), to pursue their education at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE)
  3. Hostel accommodation for the students
  4. Opening of Bank accounts
  5. Registration with Foreigner's Registration Office (FRO) within 14 days of their entry to India and to obtain the Registration Certificate and Registration Permit. If during the course of their study, student visa expires, then theoffice also helps the student to apply to the Foreigners Registration Office (FRO) for extension of visa.
