Candidates attending counseling should satisfy the eligibility requirement as per the NEET Information Brochure 2017 and the minimum eligibility requirements as prescribed by the Medical Council of India & Dental Council India regulations for admission to PG Medical & PG Dental course.

Counseling Procedure:

A)     Come prepared for Counselling:

 

Candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility requirements given in page no. 6-7 (Medical) and page no. 102- 103 (Dental) of the Prospectus 2017.

 

The following original documents are to be submitted for verification during Counseling:

·         MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate

·         Certificate of completion of compulsory rotatory internship

·         For PG Medical:

                                  1. Permanent Registration Certificate from any State Medical Council/Medical Council of India

                             2. Permanent registration Certificate from Karnataka Medical Council.

·         For PG Dental: Permanent Registration Certificate from any State Dental Council/Dental Council of  India

·         Marks cards of all professional examinations

·         Post graduate diploma certificate, if any

·         Conduct/Character certificate from the head of medical/dental college from which you have graduated

·         Fees: As applicable for the programme

·         Pan Card of Parent & Candidate

·         Aadhar Card Candidate

·         Two recent and identical passport size photographs

·         One  set of self-attested photocopies of all the above documents

 

FOR Foreign Degree holders:  Candidates holding foreign degrees must write to the Medical/Dental Council of India to obtain a temporary registration for the duration of the post graduate training. Such candidates must be registered as medical practitioners in the country from which they have obtained their basic Medical/Dental qualification. Their degrees must also be recognized by the corresponding Medical/Dental Council or by any other equivalent authority.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

There will be active verification of the NEET rank submitted by the candidate with the information available in the NEET website (www.nbe.edu.in). Candidate whose NEET PG rank does not match with the information in the NEET website will be disqualified for the counselling process. 
 

B) On the day of Counselling:  

§  The physical presence of the candidate at the counselling is mandatory. If a candidate is prevented by unavoidable circumstances from being physically present for the counselling, he/she may authorize another individual to represent him/her at the counselling.  This representative must carry the letter of authorization. CLICK HERE for the authorization letter format. 

§  In the absence of the candidate, representative will be issued only a provisional Admission Order on the day of counselling. Such candidates are required to report to admission office within 7 days from the day of counselling, to complete the admission formalities and collect the admission order. Otherwise the University may forfeit the admission and allot the same seat to others.

  • Only the candidate/representative will be allowed into the counselling hall. 
  • Candidate should sign the attendance register to mark their presence and fill the registration form available at the registration counter. 
  • Candidates will be called as per their NEET (PG) All India Rank 2017 for document verification.  Successful candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank and number of seats available.  Such candidates should produce their original documents for verification and pay the first year fees at the counseling.  Manipal University will not entertain any requests for extension in this regard.

§  Absence of the candidate or his/her representative at the indicated reporting time and date will result in the instantaneous forfeiture of any claim for a seat.

§  The choice of course/campus made by the candidate/representative is final and binding and cannot be altered later under any circumstances.

Waitlist Procedure:

When all the seats in the given course are filled, candidates may choose to be waitlisted.

The following candidates are eligible for waitlist:

  1. Candidates who have attended the counseling and taken a seat and wish to opt for change in to course /campus of their preference/choice, which is not available at the time of allotment.
  2. Candidates who have attended the counseling, but haven’t got the seat.

Candidates may give their preferences/wait-listing using the wait list form provided at the Counseling premises. A copy of the filled waitlist form will be provided to the candidates, for their record. The up gradation will be done as per the All India NEET-PG 2017 rank and the preferences, against vacancies.  Candidate has to compulsorily accept the seat as per the wait-list preference he/she has given. On up gradation, a seat if already held will be available for reallocation to the next candidate, as per rank. In the event of the candidate not accepting the offered seat, he /she will automatically forfeit all the Waitlist options and will be out-of-counseling process and he/she will also forfeit a seat, if already held.

 C) After Admission:

§  Admission order/Provisional Admission Order and receipt/s for the payment made will be given to the candidate on completion of the admission process.

§  Candidates who require hostel facility should report to Chief Warden of the allotted campus for hostel enrollment. Hostel will be allotted on payment of hostel fees only. §  Candidates should report to the allotted college on or before the reporting date mentioned in the admission order.

§  Classes will commence from 2nd May 2017

        The first year course fees should be paid by Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘Manipal University’ payable at Manipal or Udupi (Karnataka).   Alternatively, the fees can be paid through RTGS/NEFT transfer only .The fees should be deposited in our ICICI A/c no. 007201000089 IFSC code: ICIC0000072. Please note that the payment of fees cannot be made by depositing cash in the Account you need to transfer the fees to the Universities Account details of which are given above. The RTGS details mentioning your application number and course may please be sent to office.admissions@manipal.edu or fax it to 0820-2571982

               

IMPORTANT NOTE: Part payment or payment in installment is not permitted. Nonpayment of the first year fees on the day of counselling will result in instantaneous forfeiture of seat.  

 

WARNING

       Applicants are warned against possible cheating by unscrupulous agencies that may put out misleading advertisements in newspapers or approach by other means, promising and assuring seats for various courses for monetary considerations or by extracting large sum of money from candidates / parents. Manipal University wishes to authoritatively refute all such misleading false claims and advertisements. The PG Medical and Dental seats can be secured only by merit in the all India NEET-PG 2017 Rank.

 

We have no agents or middlemen for admissions.

      

The number of candidates included in the merit list and also those called for the counselling will be more than the total number of seats available in the constituent colleges. This is to take care of any dropouts at the counselling stage. Mere inclusion in the merit list and call for counselling does not guarantee admission to a course. This will exclusively depend on the candidates All India NEET PG 2017 Rank rank, the number of candidates attending the counselling, their choice of course/institution and the number of seats available.


All admissions are subject to fulfillment of all the eligibility conditions by the candidate. If it is found at a later stage, during active verification, that the candidate has given false information/certificate or is found to have concealed some information his/her admission will be cancelled without any notice. It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility requirements for the course/s applied.
