Entrance Test Type: Manipal Entrance Test - 2018

 

Test Syllabus: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and General English include questions based on the 10+2 syllabus followed by major 10+2 Boards /Universities. The detailed syllabi can be downloaded from our website www.admissions.manipal.edu.

 

Test Pattern:

Group 2: (Applicable to BTech/ BPharm/ PharmD courses). Duration- 2.30 hours, Questions-200 (MCQ). The approximate distribution of questions is as follows:

Physics -50, Chemistry-50, Mathematics-70, English & General Aptitude-30.

Merit List:

General Category: Based on the marks obtained in Manipal Entrance Test, Manipal Academy of Higher Education will declare a list of all candidates appeared for the entrance test on or before 14.05.2018 in the website. In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks, the inter-se merit of such candidates will be determined on the basis of higher marks in   the order of preference as under:

·         Mathematics in Manipal Entrance Test 2018

·         Physics in Manipal Entrance Test 2018

·         Chemistry in Manipal Entrance Test 2018

·         PCM marks in 10+2

·         In case marks secured in the above are equal, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher

 

 

COURSE: BTECH LATERAL ENTRY

 

Entrance Test Type: Manipal Entrance Test - 2018

 

Test Pattern: Duration- 1 hour. The approximate distribution of questions is as follows:

Diploma level-Mathematics (50), Physics (10), Chemistry (10) and Communication Skills in English (20). BSc graduates with Mathematics will have a separate question paper consisting of 70 questions in Mathematics and 20 questions in Communication Skills in English.

COURSE: MCA

 

Entrance Test Type: Manipal Entrance Test - 2018

 

Test Pattern:  The test   duration is of 1.30   hours and consists of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ) of the objective type. The subjects and approximate distribution of questions is as follows:

Mental Ability (25), Basic Mathematics (10), General English (25) and Computer Aptitude(40).

Merit List:

General Category: Based on the marks obtained in Manipal Entrance Test, Manipal Academy of Higher Education will declare list of candidates on or before 05.06.2018 in the website.

 

Note: All candidates scoring a minimum of 60% & above in their 10th Std, 12th Std & in BCA will be given weightage (20%) at the time of preparing the merit list. Candidates must enclose the photocopy of above mentioned marks card along with the application form. Without which the additional marks will not be awarded.

 

Foreign/NRI Category: A separate merit list of the applicants under the Foreign/NRI category will be prepared based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination and those selected for admission will be informed separately.

Entrance Test Type: Manipal Entrance Test - 2018

 

Test Pattern: Duration- 1.30 hours.  There will be one question paper of 60 multiple choice questions (MCQ ) of the objective type. Each question carries four marks, each correct answer will be awarded four marks. One mark will be deducted from the score for each wrong answer. Each paper shall have 50 Questions from the respective disciplines & 10questions from Engineering Mathematics.

Based on the qualifying degree, candidate is expected to select any ONE of the NINE disciplines listed below in the online test booking system. Request for change of discipline after selection in online test booking system will not be considered. The choice of the paper is the responsibility of the candidate.

Merit List:

General Category: Based on the marks obtained in Manipal Entrance Test and the eligibility criteria for various programs, Manipal Academy of Higher Education will declare a common merit list which will be displayed on or before 13.06.2018 in the website.

 

Note: All candidates possessing valid GATE score will be given 10% additional marks and ranked in the merit list. Candidates with GATE score must enclose the photocopy of their GATE score card along with the Application Form. Without which the additional marks will not be awarded.

 

Foreign/NRI Category: A separate merit list of the applicants under the Foreign/NRI category will be prepared based on marks obtained at the qualifying examination and those selected for admission will be informed separately.
