CURRENT ACADEMIC ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Dr Rahul is Associate Professor of law and Head, Legal Services Clinic, Manipal Law School (MAHE) Bangalore. He has more than 15 years of teaching experience wherein he has taught both UG and PG law students. Having joined Manipal Law School, Blr campus, he taught Indian Constitution course to first year Liberal Arts (DLHS) students as well as Commerce Students (DOC) . At present, he is teaching Constitution Law to MIT third year students and Fin-Tech Law and Comparative Public Law to LL.M (Hybrid) Students. His expertise lies in International Law, International Air and Space Law, International Humanitarian Law, International Trade Law and International Health Law and Constitution Law. He is also the Member, Board of Studies, Manipal Law School (MAHE) Bangalore.
He has obtained Master’s degree in English Literature from Himachal Pradesh University in 2002. He also had LL.M (2 Years) from prestigious NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad in 2009. He had his doctorate (PhD) on “CRITICAL STUDY OF LEGAL RIGHTS OF PEOPLE IN DEVELOPING NATIONS LIKE INDIA REGARDING ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE AND MEDICINE IN THE LIGHT OF TRIPS REGIME ” from Alliance University, Bangalore in 2021.” He has been an avid reader, writer, speaker, and researcher. He has to his credit more than 40 publications in peer reviewed, indexed journals. He has contributed many chapters in prolific edited books. He has presented more than 41 papers in various, national, international conferences, seminars and colloquiums. He has been invited many times to share his views pertaining to national and international socio legal issues on FDP programs. He has also delivered many guest lectures as an invitee. He has been an institution builder in terms of admission programs thereby representing the institutions concerned as a lead academic speaker in India, Middle East and Nepal. He has chaired many sessions during national as well as international conferences. His areas of interest do include, International Law, International Space Law, International Humanitarian Law, Law and Language, International Health Laws and ADR Mechanisms. He has previously been with NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, Amity University, Jaipur, MATS University, Raipur and Alliance University, Bangalore as faculty member. He had built ACADR center as Director during his stint with Alliance University, Bengaluru from 2016 till 2022. He has conducted many impactful Law events at Alliance University, Bengaluru (2016-22), and Manipal Law School (MAHE), Bengaluru (2022-till date).
