MAHE Manipal offers PhD programs across diverse disciplines through its constituent institutions and departments under the Faculties of Health Sciences; Technology & Science; and Humanities, Management, Liberal Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences & Law.
The PhD program develops independent research capabilities while contributing to academic knowledge. We encourage interdisciplinary research through structured coursework, periodic research progress presentations, and thesis submission. Our institutes and departments are supported by well-equipped research facilities and a strong academic environment.

You must successfully complete any one of the following from a recognized institution or university:

The Centre for Doctoral Studies (CDS) provides strategic leadership and centralised governance for MAHE’s PhD programme. It spearheads the development and review of doctoral policies, guidelines and procedures, ensures regulatory compliance, and upholds academic standards and quality assurance across institutions. CDS coordinates the doctoral scholar lifecycle, monitors research progress, and facilitates collaboration among scholars, supervisors and institutional stakeholders. It also drives the strategic expansion and continuous enhancement of doctoral education, aligned with MAHE’s research priorities and goals.
