ASSOCHAM confers ‘Best University Promoting Research’ award

Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal was conferred the “Best University Promoting Research” award at the ASSOCHAM National Education Excellence Awards - 2014 held in New Delhi on February 19, 2014. That then reaffirms the University’s strong commitment to excel in research.
Last year, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal was ranked first among the non-government universities in India by Scopus-based study published by SCImago Research Group, University of Granada, Spain. The survey was based on publications in Scopus database (last five years) and is known as SCImago Institutions Ranking (SIM).
ASSOCHAM is the oldest leading apex chamber set up in 1920, catering directly and indirectly to over 3,50,000 members from all over the country with 300 regional Chambers associated with it. ASSOCHAM has also positioned itself as the “Knowledge Chamber” with 100 ASSOCHAM National Councils, heading different segment of Industry.
It organized a one-day national conference on “Excellence in Education” during which the excellence awards were given away. The awards have been instituted by ASSOCHAM to felicitate the educational institutions who have contributed significantly to improve the quality of education, innovation, research and development.
