Program description

The B.Sc. Renal Replacement Therapy and Dialysis Technology is an undergraduate program that provides fundamental knowledge of kidney anatomy, physiology, and specialised extracorporeal therapies. It prepares students to perform dialysis (Hemodialysis and Peritoneal dialysis) for individuals with kidney failure. Students are trained to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams during their clinical postings. The course equips students with high-quality knowledge and skills required in modern dialysis units, supported by well-designed classrooms and a state-of-the-art dialysis training facility.

Clinical Postings in NABH accredited Hospitals consisting of more than 32 hemodialysis machines, and more than 2400 dialysis procedures will be performed every month.

Training in various Special extracorporeal therapies like: CRRT, Plasmapheresis, Hemoperfusion, SLED, etc.

Externship in various Manipal group hospitals.

Hands-on clinical experience, allowing students to work with patients and gain practical skills in operating dialysis machines, monitoring patients, and providing patient care.
