Dr. Manjushree G. Naik
Associate Professor
Dr. Manjushree G. Naik, who holds a PhD in Media Studies from Manipal Institute of Communication with a focus on the status of women journalists in Karnataka’s print and electronic media, is also a Post Graduate in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University of Mangalore. She has published over nine papers in national and international journals and presented at numerous conferences in India and abroad, including Indonesia, China, Thailand, Hyderabad, Pune, and Delhi. With over a decade of industry experience, she served as a district correspondent for Deccan Herald in Udupi and has been an Associate Professor at Manipal Institute of Communication since 2019, teaching subjects like Reporting and Writing, Investigative Journalism, and Political Journalism. Additionally, she has been an editorial assistant for the Global Media Journal Indian Edition for six years and has contributed book chapters to various media-related publications
