Symposium on ‘Economic Growth and Financial Inclusiveness’

Finance forum of School of Management of Manipal Academy of Higher Education organized a symposium on ‘Economic Growth and Inclusiveness’ on 21 March, 2015. Prof. Charan Singh, RBI Chair, Professor of Economics inaugurated the symposium. Delivering his inaugural address, he said that financial inclusion is one of the surest means to achieve economic growth. He explained the welfare orientation, growth orientation, policy orientation and the action orientation embedded in the Budget – 2015. Mr. Allen CA Pereira, former Chairman of Bank of Maharashtra, explained how banks can realize the objective of financial inclusion. Dr. KVM Varambally, the Director of School of Management, provided over the symposium.
Prof. Nandan Prabhu gave an overview of the objectives of the symposium. Ms. Prakriti proposed vote of thanks. Dr. Savitha compered the programmes.
