Mission
Under his leadership, the Department of Commerce has registered an exponential growth as evident from increased intake, addition of new programs at Undergraduate and Post graduate levels with more specialisation options and offering of PhD program. Internationalisation being his keen area of interest, his focused approach has successfully initiated collaborative opportunities with about 20 reputed universities across the globe resulting in signing of about 14 MOUs and thereby creating an opportunity for students to gain a global exposure and in developing a globally recognised curriculum. In the last two years, he has encouraged the departmental faculties to establish six Centres with focus on education beyond classrooms, training, research and consultancy in emerging areas of business and commerce. He has liasoned with global accrediting bodies like ACCA and CIMA, resulting in accreditation of UG programs of the dept. Liasioning with industry has led to collaboration with CII-Institute of Logistics resulting in development of academic programs in the domain area of Logistics and Supply Chain and undergraduate program, specialising in BPS with TCS
