As a general guide, a typical 4-credit course has a student learning time (SLT) of around 160 hours or about 12 hours per week. Students who develop an effective learning style may require less effort to achieve the stated learning outcomes.

Students who complete the MBA program with us can transfer credit towards CIMA certification via the Gateway program. Students will gain full credit towards CIMA @ Management Level – students only need to pass the CIMA Management Case Study Exam for the CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting.

This program is for each and every student who is aspiring to study Engineering in a top university in either India or abroad. The students experience 2 years of high quality Engineering education at Manipal, then based on his/her aspirations and choice, applies a credit transfer and study their 3^rd & 4^th year in a university abroad. The student graduates from the destination university and will also be eligible for the work options applicable in that country.

The students are also given a choice to re-look at their branch of Engineering after 1^st semester. The student after studying the basic subjects in first year, can take a call on if he wants to continue in the branch he has initially chosen or change to a different branch.

MIU graduates are accepted in India and a few of them are working in India in companies like Shell and Barclay.

MIU ensures 100% internships within Malaysia. If student wishes to do outside Malaysia, they need to source their Internships by themselves. Final placements aren’t yet conducted on campus.

Students will be received by an MIU representative at the airport immigration. The immigration officer will not allow the student to come out from immigration office without the presence of an MIU officer.

Parents will be able to get a tourist visa to visit Malaysia. However, the onus is on the parent to arrange for their own travel and visa.

All students at MIU are covered under limited personal accident insurance while they are registered as a full-time student.

Yes, you can apply for an academic break and the application letter must be submitted to the Dean. Your application must be supported by a letter from your parent/ guardian/ sponsor and a recommendation letter/ medical report from your doctor.

The decision to grant an academic break is subject to approval by the Dean. Remember that you must adhere to the Program Regulation as specified in your Letter of Offer.

Options to transfer credits for medical/ dental program is available but the acceptance of a candidate for the program is subject to conditions stipulated by respective institution and other authorities. You are advised to contact the Deputy Registrar’s office for further assistance.

Program Regulation for MBBS:

1. A student will be permitted a maximum of 8 academic years to complete the MBBS course of which a student is permitted a maximum of 4 academic years to complete Phase I of the program in Manipal campus and a maximum of 4 academic years to complete Phase II of the program in Muar / Melaka campus.

2. A student who does not pass a subject / examination in 3 chances (university or college) will be required to withdraw from the program. A ‘chance’ or ‘attempt’ will also include those situations when a student does not appear for the examination or a student is detained for lack of attendance and / or non-satisfactory performance during the course.

3. Eligibility for appearing at a university / college examination is 90% attendance.
