Ragging is a criminal offence that is handled by the Anti-Ragging Code of the University Grants Commission (UGC).  Ragging in any form is prohibited both on and off campus. Those who break this law face severe consequences; no mercy is granted. The first step taken against the perpetrator is suspension and/or withdrawal from the hostel/college.
