MAHE-B’LRU Ballers League (MBL2.0) - Final Report
Department of Commerce has successfully organised Dr. TMA Pai Memorial Basketball Tournament for U-18 Boys and Girls (MAHE-B’LRU Ballers League 2.0) between 7-8 Nov 2024 in association with Department of Physical Education and Sports. 7 boys teams and 3 girls teams from various schools and colleges have registered and participated in MBL2.0.
Cash prizes of Rs.1,05,000 has been awarded to the winning teams.
1. Boys Winning team (Cash prize Rs.50,000) - St.Claret PU College, Bangalore
2. Girls Winning team (Cash prize Rs.30,000) – Mount Carmel PU College, Bangalore
3. Boys Runners-Up team (Cash prize Rs.25,000) – Suguna PIP School, Coimbatore
Dr. Santosh, Head of the Department of Commerce along with Dr. Rajesh Williams, The Director of Physical Education has inaugurated the tournament at 10:00am on 7th Nov 2024. All the players, coaches, student volunteers and DOC faculty have attended the inauguration and got inspired by the thoughts shared by Dr. Santosh and Dr. Rajesh Williams.
Dr. Raghavendra Prabhu, The Deputy Registrar was invited as the Chief Guest for the ceremony. The Chief Guest has presented the trophies and cash prizes to the winning teams while medals and certificates were presented by Dr. Santosh and Dr. Rajesh Williams.
The event was a great success. The Experiences drawn from this event would help the organising team in organising many more such events in future.
