CURRENT ACADEMIC ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Dr. Sahana Reddy works as an Associate Professor of Law in MLS, MAHE, Bengaluru Campus. She holds M.A in International Relations , M.Phil and Ph.D. International Law from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She has served as a Senior Research Fellow previously in various institutions like University Grants Commission, Indian Council for Social Science Research and Ramaiah Public Policy Centre. She also has served as the Director of Research in Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Bangalore. She has 15 years of research as well as teaching experience. She is the Founding Associate of Weeramantry Centre for Peace, Justice and International Law, New Delhi and also the Editor in Chief of Journal of International Law and Comity and Sir M.V Newsletter. She has stint of working as a researcher in International Criminal Court and International Court of Justice, Netherlands. An ex- fellow at the Hague Academy of International Law, Netherlands, Dr. Sahana has a special interest in International Law, Law and Technology, Human Rights law, Humanitarian law, TWAIL and feminist understanding of international law. She has published articles on child rights, child soldiers, stateless persons and the silence of international law on gender issues. She has special interest in quantification of data especially in the field of law and also well versed in developing ontological models to systemically as well as systematically study socio-legal problems using highly sophisticated data analytical tools.
