Manipal Law School under the directorship of Dr. Avinash Dadich organized a special lecture to mark the Constitution Day on November 26, 2022 by Justice Sri Pinaki Chandra Ghosh, retired Judge of the Supreme Court of India and the first Lokpal of India and Justice Sri Maralur Indrakumar Arun, Honorable Judge of the Karnataka High Court. Speaking on the occasion, Justice Ghosh said that it is the judiciary that gives meaning to the Constitution. Citing various cases, he elaborated on newer interpretations given by the Court especially those dealing with Art. 21. Justice Maralur Indrakumar Arun explained that the law is the same for all and no one is above the law. The judge highlighted the influence of the western value and suggested that students should the best to strengthen our own values.
The lecture was held in a hybrid mode and more than 200 students and faculty participated in it.
