We were honoured to host Mr. Yuriy Netrusov, a Melbourne-based solicitor and Personal Assistant to Neil Kaplan CBE KC SBS, who is globally recognised as a founding figure of Hong Kong arbitration.

Mr. Yuriy Netrusov interacted with LLM students in International Investment and Commercial Arbitration and delivered a lecture on "A Practical View on the Procedure in International Investment Arbitration."

With law degrees from Ukraine, the USA, and Australia, Mr. Netrusov brings a truly global perspective to his work in international commercial arbitration and cross-border litigation. He is also an active member of the Resolution Institute’s Arbitration Committee and has served as Tribunal Secretary in several high-profile international cases.

This lecture was part of our ongoing industry-academia collaboration initiative, aimed at bridging practical experience with academic learning.

During the session, Mr. Netrusov shared invaluable insights into the procedural aspects of international arbitration, highlighted key nuances that can make a real difference in successfully resolving a case, and offered practical advice on building a career in the arbitration field.
