DR B SURESH KUMAR SHETTY

Dr B Suresh Kumar Shetty received his certificate in “Analytical Toxicology & Forensic DNA Typing”, as well as his PG certificate in Torture Medicine. He was cultural advisor to Student council, Head of Bioethics student wing, Deputy Chief Superintendent for exams, Advisor to Centre of Forensic Odontology.

He has co-authored chapters in 3 books and contributed articles in local and national newspapers, guided postgraduates in Forensic Medicine and undergraduates in ICMR student projects and has published more than 80 articles in Scopus Indexed peer reviewed journals and also the International Editorial Members for Egyptian Journal of Forensic Sciences journal. He is a Collaborator for the Global Burden of Disease Network.

He organised National Forensic Congress for the first time in Mangalore and was the joint organiser for the 1st Indo-French International Congress in Forensic Medicine.

He was nominated by the International Bibliographical Centre, Cambridge, England, Selection Committee and earned a position of Top 100 Health Professionals in 2009. He is an Individual Member of Sydney Forensic Medicine & Science Network, Australia and Asia Pacific Association of Medical Toxicology, Indian Academy of Forensic Medicine, Karnataka Academy of Medico legal Society

Accomplishments

Dr.B. Suresh Kumar Shetty has been instrumental in developing international collaborative student programs and also interprofessional short courses.

Networking with local, state, national bodies like Police Academy, Central Bureau of Investigation, National Human Rights and international organizations like Global Burden of Disease Network for academic advancement.
