He is an alumnus of KMC Manipal/ Mangalore with a distinguished career in both undergraduate & postgraduate courses (MBBS: May 1981 & MD General Medicine: June 1985). Accomplishments

 

Dr Prabhu is a Rotary Foundation Scholar who visited Mexico in 1993 as a member of the Rotary Group Study exchange team. He has been to the Loma Linda University Medical Centre, California, USA and Brompton Hospital in London as a visiting faculty both in 1993. He is the presently  the only Indian  to be on  Advisory Committee of Global Education in Medicine Exchange (GEMx) an Initiative of ECFMG for Medical Student Exchange. He was conferred the ‘Good Teacher Award’ by the University. He has guided about 25 PGs in MD (General Medicine), the thesis of most of whom have either been published or presented at the National conferences

Life Philosophy

 

Dr Prabhu hails from Mangalore. He is an alumnus of KMC Manipal/ Mangalore with a distinguished career in both undergraduate & postgraduate courses. He joined the Department of Medicine in 1985 as a lecturer & in 2001 became the professor and associate dean of KMC, Mangalore. He is an extempore speaker and debater with interest in current affairs. He has been Staff Advisor for the Students Representative Council of the medical college where he started looking after Student affairs and welfare from as early as 1995.
