Dr. Anice George is the first Nursing Professional to complete her PhD from MAHE, Manipal. She completed her MPhil Nursing from Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing, Delhi University, PG in Pediatric Nursing from College of Nursing, CMC, Vellore.

Being a Nurse Educator, she uses her experience, knowledge, skills and compassion, towards preparing Nursing professionals in making a difference in the lives of people they serve. Quality improvements through regular professional development programs is a key goal for Dr. Anice. She mentors, supports and encourages nursing professionals as they journey from being a novice to becoming an expert. 


The most valued accomplishment for her is the graduates and post graduates of this great institution, who make her feel contented and happy as teacher and administrator.
As Dean of Manipal College of Nursing, Dr. Anice George has immensely contributed to the growth of the college in the academic field making MCON, Manipal one of the most respected Nursing Institutions in the Country. Her mentoring and grooming of future leaders in the noble field of nursing is equally praise worthy. During her leadership, the college has grown stronger in all areas, particularly Research. Her contributions to the profession apart from the Institution’s impressive alumni, are the 105 publications and over 80 invited talks at professional conferences.

Life Philosophy

Dr. Anice George believes that every profession is unique; so is every individual. Every day for an Individual at different life stages is unique ; so is each interaction and each experience in life at every moment. Making the best use of each moment is extremely important in contributing towards the community as a socially conscious member. The most precious gift from our Creator is life. Therefore each life must be nurtured with care and compassion. Dr. Anice believes that we must make use of every opportunity to help each one, who is in need and be a genuine well-wisher of others and live faithfully with conscientiousness as we journey through life towards the eventual destination of our maker with grace and gratitude.
