International Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons Day

The day was marked by reception of AOMSI torch on campus from AOMSI office bearers, President Dr. Krishnamurthy Bonanthaya, Secretary Dr. Pritham N Shetty and Treasurer Dr Pramod Subash. The Dean, Dr Dilip G. Naik and Associate Dean, Dr. Premalatha Shetty, welcomed the office bearers of the AOMSI and other senior members of the Association. The torch was received by the Dean, Dr Dilip G Naik, accompanied by faculty of Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Interns and students performed a dance drama specially prepared for the event. The performance won much appreciation from the audience. Students and Interns participated in a slogan/poster/collage competition on the theme of “Road Safety Awareness”.

A Walkathon was held, starting from Bunts Hostel Circle and ending at Forum Fiza Mall to promote “Road Safety Awareness”. Faculty and Postgraduates from the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery accompanied by more than 70 students and interns of our institution enthusiastically participated in the walkathon. The cheerful celebrations of the day culminated in a felicitation of Commissioner of Police and Traffic police personnel. Students received an award for their dance drama performance.
