The centre is a collaborative unit of the Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore and the Department of Forensic Medicine, Kasturba Medical College Mangalore. Dr. Suresh Shetty, State Medicolegal Consultant, HoD of the Department of forensic Medicine was the chief guest of the function. The function was witnessed by the Associate deans of MCODS, Mangalore, the Core Committee of the college and all the team members of Centre for Forensic odontology. Dr. Srikant N, course coordinator made a brief presentation of the journey behind the establishment of this Centre and the development of the hybrid certificate course of the forensic Odontology.
Dr Ashita Uppoor also described the importance of this forensic odontology course and related fields and how they are interconnected from a long time. She briefed about the importance of this program and how, these certificate programs going to be the future educational trend. The ceremony was further continued by the e- inauguration of the certificate course in Forensic Odontology by Dr Suresh Shetty which allowed the students enrolled to view the content in the Edunxt Platform. Dr Suresh Shetty mentioned about the significance of this course as it was the first blended course of the institution and wished for the success of the course.
