MCODS Student at International Forensic Conference, Belgium
The IOFOS International Conference on Forensic Odontology 2017 was organized at the Katholieke University, Leuven (Belgium) on September 14-15, 2017. The scientific program covered all aspects of forensic odontology research and practice.

The topics covered under the conference were abuse neglect, anthropology archeology, age estimation, bite marks, disaster management, facial reconstruction, identification and virtopsy. Day 1 of the conference highlighted on the development of forensic odontology education from an undergraduate to a Ph.D level with focus on the changing role of a forensic odontologist. Her research poster was on ‘Evaluation of reliability of age estimation using Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)’. The session chairs were Dr.Anastasia Mitsea (Lecturer, Department of Oral Diagnosis & Radiology, School of dentistry, University of Athens) and Dr.Jannick De Tobel (Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon and researcher at the Dept. of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Ghent university).The session chairs appreciated her interest in the subject of forensic odontology at the undergraduate level and suggested extending the research topic to include people from diverse ethnic backgrounds in the study sample.
