The research interests of the Astrophysics group members are broadly related to General Relativity, Cosmology, High energy astrophysics, Radio Astronomy, X-ray Astronomy, Solar Physics and Space Instrumentation. The research of this group mainly focuses on the black hole physics, accretion mechanism, spectral and timing studies of astrophysical objects, AGN, QPOs, relativistic jets, supernovae, tidal disruption events, cosmic inflation, cosmic microwave background anisotropy, dark matter, primordial black holes, analog gravity, magnetic activities on the Sun and its effect on the Earth and other solar system bodies, and so on.
