Dr. Aditya Banerjee
Assistant Professor
Dr. Aditya Banerjee is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Liberal Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at MAHE, Bengaluru. He completed his undergraduate, post-graduate, and Ph.D. degree in Psychology from the Department of Psychology, University of Allahabad. His academic journey is distinguished by several achievements, which includes receiving the prestigious Krishna Mohan Banerjee Gold Medal and E.C.G. William Memorial Gold Medal for securing the first position in Master of Arts in Psychology (2016-2018). During his Ph.D., Dr. Banerjee was awarded the Doctoral Fellowship by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) for his research, which focused on identifying different profiles of lonely university students and their relation to mental health indicators and personality factors. He has qualified UGC-NET multiple times and has presented his research at various national and international conferences. Additionally, he has published research papers in reputed journals published by Sage and Springer Nature. Recently, Dr. Banerjee represented India on the international stage as one of the Top 40 Emerging Psychologists selected for the Emerging Psychologists' Programme (EPP) by the International Congress of Psychology (ICP) 2024 at Prague, Czech Republic. Before joining DLHS, MAHE, he worked as a guest faculty at Iswar Saran Degree College and has also served as a teaching assistant during his Ph.D. tenure. His areas of interest include psychological testing, stress and coping, personality psychology, and developmental psychology.
