Ms. Vaishnavi Kamat

Ms. Vaishnavi Kamat is currently working as Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) at DLHS, MAHE, Bengaluru. She is a trained Counseling Psychologist with extensive experience spanning over 15 years in the domains of mental health and education. Her academic journey commenced with Undergraduate studies at the University of Mumbai, followed by Post Graduate studies at SNDT Women's University. She has worked as an assistant professor at a college affiliated with SNDT Women's University in Mumbai, where she also led the coordination of the PG Counseling Psychology program. Currently pursuing her PhD from Christ University in Bengaluru, Ms. Kamat's research revolves around the intricate interplay between menstrual attitudes and mental health among menstruating emerging adults. She has over 9 research papers published in esteemed national and international peer-reviewed journals. She has presented papers at international conferences held in Singapore and Portugal. Beyond academia, Ms. Kamat extends her expertise through her therapy practice, catering to diverse client needs. As a co-founder and now consultant Psychologist at KoppelConnect, she plays a pivotal role in providing specialized couple counselling and assessment services. Ms Kamat is trained in Queer Affirmative Counselling Practice and is dedicated to creating a safe and affirming space for LGBTQ+ individuals seeking counseling support. Her pedagogical approach is marked by inclusivity, reflecting her dedication to fostering a supportive learning environment conducive to holistic growth and development.
