Seahorse XF HS Mini analyser, Agilent

The Seahorse instrument is a specialized tool designed to study cellular bioenergetics in real-time. It measures cellular oxygen consumption rate (OCR) and extracellular acidification rate (ECAR), which are key indicators of cellular respiration and glycolysis, respectively.  It is widely used in cellular biology and metabolic research. The ability to perform real-time, non-invasive measurements allows researchers to gain a comprehensive understanding of cellular bioenergetics and metabolic pathways. For example, mitochondrial function, glycolytic activity, cellular stress response to chemicals, assessment of the bioenergetic profiles of different cell types, and the influence of cellular metabolism on cell function and response.

Beckman Coulter CytoFLEX

Beckman Coulter CytoFLEX is a high-performance flow cytometer designed for multi-parameter analysis with exceptional sensitivity and resolution. It features a customizable configuration with up to 21 parameters, allowing for detailed cellular and particle analysis. This system utilizes advanced optical technology to enhance signal detection and minimize background noise. CytoFLEXs include immunophenotyping, cell cycle analysis, and apoptosis studies. It is also used in hematology, oncology, and immunology research, providing critical insights into cellular functions and molecular interactions. CytoFLEX is suitable for both basic and advanced research, offering the flexibility to adapt to various experimental needs.

Nude Mice Cage

An individually ventilated cage (IVC) system provides a controlled environment for laboratory animals with individual ventilation in each cage. It ensures optimal conditions by controlling airflow, temperature, and humidity while reducing cross-contamination between cages. Nude mice in an individually ventilated cage (IVC) system are used for diverse studies such as cancer research, immunology, and drug development owing to their compromised immune systems. The IVC system provides controlled environmental conditions that are essential for accurate tumour growth, immune response analysis, and genetic modifications. It also supports research on transplantation and infectious diseases by minimizing cross-contamination and ensuring optimal conditions for obtaining reliable results. Research in pharmacology, toxicology, and genetics, where precise environmental control is necessary. It is also used for high-maintenance animal studies and in environments requiring stringent pathogen control, supporting both breeding and experimental studies.
