Early detection of cancers is one of the priority areas of research here and we are working on this field for last several years using laser spectroscopy tools. Further, identification and characterization of cellular proteins by laser induced fluorescence is another key area of our research. Development of laser induced fluorescence (LIF) and Photoacoustic Spectroscopy (PAS) instrumentations for cancer detection and diagnosis as well as development of fibre optic probe based low level laser therapy (LLLT) for tissue regeneration are the other on-going activities.
