Mr Akhil views teaching as a vital role in nation-building, with a rich background in creative arts and design. He has won numerous national awards since childhood and, prior to joining MIC, taught at NID Haryana, guiding over 20 students, one of whom earned a gold medal for the best graduation project, internationally recognized. His career includes experience at esteemed institutions like NIT Rourkela and the Archaeological Survey of India, where his work on the Kalibangan Museum burial replica stands out.” He has worked as an Assistant Director in filmmaking and a program anchor for channels like Asianet News and Amrita TV, Victers channel earning state awards for children’s programming. A graduate of the Sir J. J. Institute of Applied Art, Mumbai, and the College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram, Mr. Akhil’s research now focuses on iconography and mural paintings. At MIC, he teaches Editing and Design, Consumer Behaviour, and Design Thinking, among other subjects.
