    • Guiding MSc. students in MIV. 
    • Actively involved in organising workshops and trainings at MIV Manipal.

Infectious disease diagnosis, diagnostic assay development & validation, cellular immune response to viruses, immunotherapeutics

Area of Expertise

Specialization in Clinical Virology. Trained in Next-generation sequencing and data analysis, Luminex Technology, and hybridoma technology for monoclonal antibody production and application in immunodiagnostics, from the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention Atlanta, USA, and the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka respectively.

Area of Research

Actively participates as a principal investigator in research projects in the development of computationally optimized broadly reactive multi-subunit peptide arboviruses and their diagnostic application funded by the Indian Council for Medical Research and RGUHS.His research at the Manipal Institute of Virology (MIV), MAHE is focused on the design and validation of molecular and immunodiagnostics, Immuno-therapeutics, and antiviral therapeutics. He was also involved in disease diagnosis. He has several publications in scientific journals of repute and received research funds from various external funding agencies.
