Association of WGSSHA with National and International Level Culinary Associations

World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS)

The Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration proudly announced to their accreditation to the apex body for chefs in the world, World Association of Chefs Societies. On the 8th of November 2019. The World Association of Chefs Societies known as WACS is a non-political professional organization, dedicated to maintaining and improving the culinary standards of global cuisines. It accomplishes these goals through education, training, and professional development of their international membership. As an authority and opinion leader on food, Worldchefs represents a global voice on all issues related to the culinary profession. It was founded in1928 at the Sorbonne in Paris with the venerable August Escoffier as the first Honorary President. The World Association of Chefs’ Societies, or Worldchefs in short, is a dynamic global network of more than 100 chefs’ associations representing chefs at all levels and across all specialties worldwide.

Worldchefs is a global authority on food, creating impact through these core focus areas:

Education – includes their landmark Recognition of Quality Culinary Education program and the world’s first global culinary certification;

Networking – Worldchefs provides a gateway to global culinary networking opportunities and hosts the landmark biennial Worldchefs Congress & Expo;

Indian Federation of Culinary Associations (IFCA)

 

In the year 2019, the Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration as a part of this accreditation process was audited and enrolled as a member of the Indian federation of culinary associations (IFCA).

The Indian Federation of Culinary Associations is a nodal body of culinary professionals in India and is an independent, apolitical, non-religious, and voluntary organization of culinary professionals formed with the idea of developing the culinary profession and to showcase Indian cuisine on the global platform. IFCA hopes to promote culinary knowledge and propagate various kinds of food and bring obscure culinary styles and practices to the forefront.

The main objective of IFCA is to live up to the general interest of the profession and to knit a closer link between the professionals, culinary institutes, allied foodservice industry professionals and to develop a high ethical standard of the culinary art. IFCA is a forum dedicated to connecting culinary professionals across the geography of India with people and places with the knowledge they need to succeed.

IFCA is the one and the only National member of the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS), the apex body of culinary professionals’ world over with 10 million members, recognized by 110 Countries.

IFCA has been awarded a DIPLOMA by the WACS for its outstanding efforts towards the improvement of Culinary Professionals in India. IFCA is also the proud recipient of WACS Global Communication Award for its maintenance and upkeep of flawless communication systems
